How to become a third-party participant

A company can apply for becoming a third-party participant. Third-party participants can request power of attorney from electricity customers, which enables them to access the customer's electricity data via ElOverblik's third-party portal or via the third-party API.

Admission requirements for third-party participants

A number of requirements must be met to operate on the Danish electricity market as a third party.

  • CVR-number: The company must have an active CVR-number on virk.dk.
  • MitID Erhverv or Local IdP: The company must use MitID Erhverv or Local IdP to authenticate itself.

Getting Started

  • MitID Erhverv: Make sure to have your MitID Erhverv or LocalIdP ready, and apply well in advance.

  • Test: We recommend that you test the power of attorney flow with your own data before requesting a power of attorney from a customer.
